RCA Corporation
Spectra 70

This is an RCA Spectra 70 mainframe computer with console and peripherals.

It is the first type of data processing system that I taught about and worked on when I took a job at RCA in 1968 after I finished college. It dates to 1966, and is a clone of the IBM System/360 which was the first successful program-compatible mainframe series, launched in 1964.
