The Krewe of Bacchus "rolls" on Monday night, Mardi Gras eve. Bacchus is a modern krewe, founded in 1968 to "revitalize" Mardi Gras. Each major krewe's parade begins with its namesake king, so here's Bacchus, Greek God of Wine. The hands in the foreground belong to someone below us in the reviewing stand, and are held up with the exhortation "Throw me something, mister!".
