Lest we forget: This memorial was made necessary by the arrogance and deceit of Lyndon Baines Johnson and Robert Strange McNamara as well as continued deceit by Richard Milhaus Nixon and Henry Kissinger, abbeted by the ambition of William Westmoreland. What a waste and tragedy. And the lies and stupidity of George W. Bush and evilness of Donald Rumsfeld will make a similar memorial for our losses in Iraq necessary. Will it always be thus?
